Personal

Thank you, 2014!

31 December 2014

It’s already the last day of 2014! A lot of things have happened this year, and as I look back, I have a lot to be thankful for.

In a particular order:

A resilient body

I am immensely grateful to my body for putting up with and surviving all the crap I put it through.

Sure, I treat it well at times by remembering to take my supplements, eating a balanced diet and sleeping A LOT, but most of the time I think I would be swiftly arrested for abusive behavior if one could be charged for ill-treating one’s body lol.

I ignore my body’s need for water. At times, I drink less than a glass a day. And I only drink at the end of the day out of guilt when I realized I didn’t have any water the whole day.

I ignore my body’s need for the loo. On days that I DO remember to drink water, I can easily hold it in for hours if I’m engrossed with work or just plain lazy to walk to the toilet. -_-

I ignore my body’s need for food. I can go to bed and fall asleep with a savage, growling stomach.

I hardly ever exercise.

I nearly cracked my skull open twice this year.

… and I think that’s it today for dishing the dirt on myself. Lol.

Thank you body for working so hard and not falling sick at all this year (again). I am well aware that I can enjoy life due to your efforts. I also know that you’re getting old. I will step up and take more care of you. Promise.

Family and friends

It truly is a wondrous feeling when you realize that time and distance has absolutely no effect on the bond you share with another person. That you can be so at ease with each other as if you haven’t seen in a week, rather than an entire year.

I am deeply thankful for those who keep me in their hearts. You know who you are ♥

Travel

I spent more than 1/3 of the year away from home this year: Korea, Hokkaido, USA, Canada, Singapore.

First visit to the states and stayed there for 3 months!

I also saw natural wonders of the world for the first time, and I saw TWO of them! The Grand Canyon and Niagara Falls (ehem, post not written yet *shifty eyes*).

While I was homesick at times, I am still extremely grateful for the chance to see and experience so many different places and things!

The husband

I did say the list was in a particular order. Saved the best for last ;D

Without sounding overly mushy or gross, I am simply thankful for the person that is my husband.

For always being there. My best friend, partner in life, partner in crime, confidant, advisor.

Thank you for another year of wonderful memories ♥

Now let’s go create some more in 2015!!!

Have a great 2015, everyone! :D

    Happy New Year!! ^__^

I have the same water drinking/toilet using problem :P
Sometimes keeping a couple of filled bottles/cups of water on my desk helps tons

      Happy New Year too, Mandy!

Unfortunately, that doesn’t work for me. Water is literally within arm’s reach, but still I don’t reach for it at all. Bad habit + no urge. Sigh.

Happy Nuu Year, Slin! I would like to say I’m horrified about your water-drinking habbits but erm I realise I do the exact same thing! I fill my bottle up in the morning then when it’s going home time I notice the bottle has been untouched in one corner of the table…. heh.

I hear you suppose to drink 8 glasses of water a day to be healthy, but I only drink about a bottle and a half. And, I’m not a big fan on using public restrooms for the need to sit around long. I try my best to hold it in and wait until I get home. The feeling of public restrooms grosses me out entirely. I guess the idea of so many bottoms been on the seat, (no matter if you use the toilet seat covers) it’s still pretty nasty. But when you gotta go, you just gotta go. Else, you’ll develop a tract infection . . . So, water in take is a must!! That and 100 percent cranberry juice to help your bladder be strong. So, be good to your body and mind, you won’t have to deal with so much stuff breaking down as you age. I really need to stretch more to be honest . . . =)

I drink way less than that unless I force myself to >__< I'm extremely OCD about cleanliness and dislike public restrooms too, ugh. Yeah, more conscious about taking care of myself as time goes by. Oh, I love stretching!
