It never rains but it pours

It’s been 2+ weeks since my body broke down [read details here], and I can finally say I’m almost well again. It took 3 doctor visits and more than a week’s worth of 16-hour sleep days to fix it -_-

My immune system is usually pretty strong. I literally have not fallen ill in years. But this time when it hit, it hit bad.

It started with a sore throat, that developed into a fever. My body temperature was yoyo-ing between 35.9 and 37.3°C. Damn annoying. One moment it’s “Yay! No more fever!” Then a while later, Fu will be feeling my hand or cheek and go, “You sure? You feel very hot.” (even though I don’t feel it) And he’s very accurate. He’s like my human thermometer haha.

When the fever finally started to ease up, I naturally developed a hacking cough, phlegm and a blocked nose. They always come in a full package, don’t they? -_-

Then, I woke up one day with a very itchy hand. I ignored it at first, but when I later looked at it, I discovered my palm and fingers were covered with lots of tiny bumps under the skin! o_O

Apparently I somehow contracted dyshidrotic eczema FML. What on earth is that even?! Never had it in my life before, why did it suddenly choose to make a guest appearance now of all times sigh.

AND THEN (can you believe there’s still more to it? -_-) the next day, my left ear started to hurt. It hurt when I coughed, which was very often, and started to hurt even when I swallowed saliva. Ugh.

At that point, I was like, WHATEVER LA. Whatever that wants to break down faster do it altogether. A bit more suffering no longer made any difference to me -_-

But!!! Everything is recovering well now :D Just a bit of residual cough and phlegm to clear and then I’m good as new!

And I will be resuming writing, so watch this space!
