The Prettiest Cafe in Tokyo – Aoyama Flower Market Tea House

24 May 2015

Granted, I haven’t been to every single cafe in Tokyo, but I’m willing to bet good money that the cafe I’m about to share is surely one of the prettiest, if not the prettiest in Tokyo!

Besides, it is the prettiest cafe that _I_ have visited in Tokyo, so I win the bet either way! :D

On the outside, it looks like a pretty flower shop, but otherwise nothing out of the ordinary. (Aoyama Flower is a chain and many train stations house a small shop)

However, a cosy little cafe space is nestled deep inside the shop…

Isn’t it a dream???

It was so pretty, with the place decorated with fresh blooms of the season (it was peony when we visited). It was just a very happy and comforting place to be in :) I mean, seriously, who wouldn’t want to be in this cafe, enveloped by all the greenery and lovely flowers? Not to mention delicious desserts (coming up soon below!)

Although there was a queue outside – we queued for about 30 minutes on a Saturday at 3pm – there was no time limit as to how long one could stay. AWESOME. Because I think we stayed for quite some time haha. And took about a billion pictures. The lighting is pretty crappy for selfies though -_-

One of the best of the lot

Food!

Everything was pretty good, but I want to highlight the Rose Parfait. Not only was it really pretty, but the rose jelly pieces inside are absolutely divine. Ignore the fact that a good part of the ice cream was all melted because we took so many photos of the food from so many angles I think we can recreate 3D models of them lol. But it’s ok! Melted but still delicious!

I like how almost everything on the menu tried to incorporate a floral element in it. When it comes to theme-ing, the Japanese are second to none!

Although there will likely be a queue, Aoyama Flower Market Tea House is still definitely a cafe in Tokyo that I heartily recommend!

In parting, a shot of the pretty blooms in the shop:
