Virtually OCD

28 August 2013

Have you ever organized more than 2 TB – that’s 2000 GB – of data before?

If you haven’t, DO NOT ATTEMPT IT.

I’m doing it because I have no choice. My recent unpacking/reorganizing of the house has unleashed the OCD monster in me and now it’s even invaded the virtual space.

I have photos from my very first digital camera more than a decade ago.
Which really means I have 793409823203987 photos.
Which means about 59823851 of them are duplicates from transferring them here and there and everywhere over the past 10 years.
Which means I am about to go bonkers trying to weed out the duplicates. I haven’t even attempted sorting them yet.

And that’s just photos I took.

How about images, music, movies, shows, documents…

Oh boy.

My elbow is dying.

What my elbow feels like

ps: A good application to help with detecting duplicate files (amongst other things) is Magican. For Mac only. Heh.

    Still sorting!

But one good thing is that it’s quite fun to look at all the photos over the years and reliving the moments again ^^
