The missing pieces

Hello my lovelies!

Have you been checking back at this blog, hopeful every time, but left disappointed when you found that there is no new post? Is there a void in your life now where it was previously filled by my awesome posts?

No? I’m disowning you.

/end of narcissism (or at least the publicly demonstrated ones)

Anyway… I’ve been a busy bee, as usual! This time, instead of just saying, I will show you. (every time I said “show you” during English class, my Japanese kids will laugh and say “she said shoyu! hahaha SHOYU!”, in which shoyu means soy sauce T_T)

Shu visits

The first person to stay at my place! The highlight of her trip (for me), apart from the goodies she unloaded from Sainsbury was our visit to Tsukiji Market!

Which is the best sushi shop to visit in Tsukiji? Honestly speaking… I’ve no idea. And despite being a person who crazily researches everything before trying/buying, I strangely have no inclination to do so. Because I have faith in the Japanese sashimi quality in Tsukiji! Haha.

For the record, we ate at 大和, which is in one of the alleys right beside the market. My second time there :D

sushi

This chuutoro here. is heaven in your mouth.

There is no other way to describe it.

If you don’t like it, you have no taste. Literally.

Refills after chuutoro was gobbled up. The uni (pronounce oo-ni not you-ni) is LOVE. Super fresh, super sweet. Worlds apart from sewerage-tasting uni I had at a conveyer belt sushi shop.

I cannot decide if chuutoro or uni is better. Don’t ask me to decide. I can’t!!!

Autumn @ Lake Kawaguchiko

It’s autumn, so we headed to autumn leaves viewing spots! This one is at Lake Kawaguchiko, one of the five lakes at the base of Mount Fuji.

kawaguchiko kawaguchiko2Her Majesty. Magnificent from any angle.

kawaguchiko4First time buying a photo because our lousay camera and both phones cannot capture both Mount Fuji and us. It’s either one or the other T_T But this one is so pretty it’s worth the 1,000 yen!

kawaguchiko3Stayed on for the night illumination!

Autumn @ Tachikawa

Posted this on instagram, but I really could look at this a million times and still be struck by how splendid it is. How can leaves wilting be this pretty??? Nature is amazing.

Ok, I also did plenty of other things, but that’s all the time we have today, folks! Remember to tune in again soon! *winks*
